Terms & Conditions
The basis on which we work together, written so you can actually read it.
Template – check before launch. Add your trading address and company details, and adjust anything that does not match how you actually work (payment split, revision rounds, notice periods). Have it read over by someone qualified. This is a starting point, not legal advice.

1. Who these terms are between
These terms apply between We Build Web (we, us) and you, the customer, for any work we agree to carry out. Accepting a quote from us means accepting these terms.
2. Quotes and prices
Quotes are valid for 30 days. The price we quote is fixed for the work described in that quote. If you later ask for something outside it, we will tell you what the extra cost is before doing it — you will never receive an invoice for work you did not agree to.
Prices are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
3. Payment
- 50% is payable to book the work in. We start once it clears.
- The remaining 50% is payable on completion, before the site goes live.
- Monthly services, such as social media management, are billed monthly in advance.
- Invoices are due within 14 days.
Deposits cover work already scheduled and are non-refundable once we have started, though we will always be reasonable if your circumstances change.
4. What we need from you
To hit the dates we agree, we need you to supply the material we ask for (photos, product details, logins to any accounts you already own) and to come back to us on drafts within a reasonable time. If material is delayed, the completion date moves accordingly.
5. Changes and revisions
Every project includes two rounds of changes at the review stage. Further rounds, or changes that alter what was originally agreed, are charged at our current hourly rate, quoted to you first.
6. Who owns what
Once you have paid in full, you own the finished website, the domain name and the content we produced for you. We keep ownership of any underlying tools, templates or code libraries we reuse across projects, and you get a licence to use them as part of your site.
You confirm that anything you send us — photos, logos, text, video — is yours to use, or that you have permission to use it. We are not liable for claims arising from material you supply.
Unless you ask us not to, we may show the finished work in our portfolio.
7. Third-party services
Websites depend on services run by other companies: hosting, domain registration, payment providers, social media platforms. We will set these up for you in your name, but we do not control them and cannot be held responsible for their outages, price changes or policy decisions.
8. What we can and cannot promise
We will build your site properly, set it up correctly for search engines and test it on current browsers and devices.
We cannot guarantee search rankings, traffic volumes, sales or social media results. Anyone who guarantees you a position on Google is guessing — those results depend on competition, budget and time, none of which are fully in our hands.
9. Support and care plans
Website packages include 30 days of support after launch for anything not working as intended. Beyond that, ongoing updates, backups and small changes are covered by an optional monthly care plan.
Care plans and monthly services run month to month. Either of us can end them with 30 days notice.
10. Cancellation
You can cancel a project at any time. You will be invoiced for the work completed up to that point, less the deposit already paid. If we cancel — which we would only do in exceptional circumstances — we will refund anything you have paid for work not yet done.
11. Liability
Our total liability in relation to any project is limited to the amount you have paid us for it. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit or lost business. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud, where the law does not allow it to be limited.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.
